Technology Education and Research Integrated Institution, commonly known as TERii is one of the best engineering and management colleges in India. Affiliated to Kurukshetra University and situated at the center of Kurukshetra at Kaithal Road, TERii is a landmark in technology education. More than all, the place Kurukshetra has witnessed the foundation of first formal education in the world.

During Mahabharat, Lord Krishna gave first formal teaching in the form of Bhagwad Gita in which Lord Krishna literally described the entire life of a human being along with the solutions of all the problems one can face in his life.

Dr. M.P. Gupta (Former Director, Technical Education Department, Government of Haryana and Uttarakhand) is the present advisor of this prestigious institute. His inspiration for his present successful life is basically the failure he has seen and managed he has seen in his life. He has been observing his life since childhood and have understood the issues a student has when he has to decide whether he can pursue engineering or management courses.

His presence in the institution makes all the students much more comfortable. His regular interaction with the students, guest lectures on various topics and vision of TERii family makes the students very happy and motivated to work hard and become successful in their lives. According to him, the best experience one have in his life is from his biggest failure. Here is a story narrated by him to all of his students during his lectures:

An Indian Hockey Player

Before: He is an Indian professional field hockey player and an ex-captain of the Indian National Team. He made his international debut in January 2004 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup In Kuala Lumpur. He took over as the captain of the Indian national team in January 2009. At a time when he was at his peak, he was said to have the best speed in the world in drag flick (speed 145 km/h). On 22 August 2006, Singh was seriously injured after being hit by an accidental gunshot in Shatabadi train, while on his way to join the national team due to leave for the World Cup in Germany two days later. He was almost paralyzed and on a wheelchair for two years of his life.

After: Sandeep Singh Bhinder not only recovered from that serious injury, but also established himself again in the team.

Under his captaincy, the Indian team managed to clinch the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in 2009 after defeating Malaysia in the finals at Ipoh. India won the title after a long wait of 13 years. Singh was also the top goal scorer of the tournament.

The India men’s national Hockey team had qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London after a gap of 8 years. The team had a resounding victory over France in the finals of the Olympic qualifiers by beating France 8–1. Ace drag-flicker Singh starred in the final against France by scoring five goals – including a hat-trick – all from penalty corners (19th, 26th, 38th, 49th and 51st minutes). Singh was the highest scorer of the Olympic qualifiers tournament by scoring 16 goals.

He is regarded as one of the best drag flickers of the game.

This is how he explains how we should work hard irrespective of thinking about the future. Hard work will always pay. With this hope along with the ethos of the institution, TERii planned a free 15 days Free Foundation Course wherein students from all over can come to the institute, study in the classes, learn, live in the hostels, eat in the cafeteria and enjoy the campus at NO cost. The core objective is to make the students familiar with the institute which might help them to find the best engineering or management college for themselves.

Registrations for BTech, MBA, BBA and Diploma courses are open. One can register themselves at www.terii.in/registration and even register for the Free Foundation Course. One can even book a seat by paying a token amount of INR 10,000 and the rest amount can be done after the student joins.
