Laboratories

The state-of-the-art laboratories at TERII facilitate the training and teaching of student in various streams. The labs cater to the needs of the students studying in respective departments. Laboratories are fully equipped to meet the academic requirements as per the university curriculum. Also, our laboratories comply with the International standards which help the students to be well conversant with the various instruments. By handling the most sophisticated equipments, the students build up a high confidence level, which benefits them in the long run. A Project Lab with ultra-modern facilities has also been established.
Our main Lab includes Thermodynamics Lab, Production Technology Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Vibration Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Microwave Engineering Lab, Multimedia Lab, & DBMS Lab. Students receive hands on training on equipment’s that are used for actual production.

Lab Design

Engineering Labs are mostly cold places with white walls and orderly tables. Our labs are designed to be colorful, inviting and tailor made for maximum comfort, acceptability & access. It exudes a warm feeling of working in a positive environment.

Functioning

Industry studies show that engineers may know of concepts but when it comes to applying them they fail, particularly real time combination of concepts being applied at a time. Hence, this process is another important step in our drive to make our engineers practical.
Even the best infrastructure provided can be of no use unless it is manned by skilled, qualified and competent staff with the right attitude. Our lab technicians are engineers who are specially trained and oriented to our vision. Their job is to supervise and facilitate a disciplined culture in the lab. They are trained to deal with students, their queries or any sort of misbehaviour, keeping in mind no one is discouraged from asking and experimenting.

Workshop

The high roof workshop consists of shops in the field of fitting, carpentry, machine, smithy, forging, welding, tin-smithy, foundry and pattern making. Mechanical Machine Shop is equipped with Central Lathes, Shaping Machines, Drilling Machines, Electrical shops are fitted with both AC and DC motors, Generators and Alternators with instruments for Circuit and Systems labs.
The Institute conducts variety of workshops (machine shop, welding shop, fitting shop, carpentry shop, foundry shop, painting shop) in a well equipped 15000 sq feet industrial shed having 300 tools and machines. The presence of testing and welding machines, boilers and engines, sharper, lathe machines, grinders, power hacksaw and technical apparatus in the labs give exclusive practical training to the budding engineers.

Lab Access

At TERii, it is made sure that all our students have access to sufficient sets of experimental setups and tools in order to encourage them to work on their own. There is a defined process that is followed by each staff member to safeguard the equipment from being compromised while allowing free access. Along with this, it is also ensured that there is no form vandalism or safety hazard on the part of any student or faculty.

The labs will be accessible 24X7: keeping safety measures in mind. Students are allowed to work at flexible hours provided they book their lab time in advance.

Computing Lab

At TERii, knowledge is imparted in the state of the technology built computer labs. The campus includes 20 separate computer labs for different institutes and courses. All of these computer labs are connected with 50 MBPS fiber optic leased lines ensuring 24*7 data connectivity. The timings of the computer labs are very flexible. As per the student requirements, some of the computer labs are opened late night!
During examinations, the computer labs are operated even till 2 am for the students to practice, prepare assignments and gather study material online.

Classrooms, Smart Classrooms and E- Learning Projector Rooms: Well –Lit, spacious and well –furnished class rooms with modern technical amenities enable quality learning. The presence of Digital Media, Acoustics, and Personal Computers in the E- Learning Rooms equip the students with a confidence to use technology effectively.

Interested students who are willing to go abroad for further studies can take up tests such as GRE and TOEFL, take up an online mock test and also browse through the websites of various universities and centers of higher education around the world. The access speed enables the Students and Staff to download and upload files at a fast rate.
