GUVI, an IIT-Madras Incubated Company (NEAT shortlisted product) collaborated with AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) to launch India’s Biggest Coding Revolution – #AIforIndia 1.0 that spearheads to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD by up-skilling 10 Lakh participants with Python Programming skills in a One-Day Online workshop. The broader vision of this program was aligned with “Make India lead among the Top 3 countries in Artificial Intelligence”, informed Dr. Sagar Gulati, Director TERii Kurukshetra. It was an official Guinness World Record attempt on “Most users to take an online computer programming lesson in 24 hours”, He added.
He further told that the opportunity was grabbed by the institution with both hands and announced to be an Institutional Skilling for Python Day. It was an online programme that started on April 24th, 2021, 4 PM and ended on the next day i.e. April 25th at 4 PM only. Consistently for 24 hours, all the students and faculty across the country participated across the length and breadth in the country.
Dr. Gulati happily informed that 300+ students earned Python Certification in this 24 hours wherein 177 successfully developed a Face Recognition App using Python as part of AI-For-India event. He congratulated all the achievers and assured that similar technology driven initiatives will remain to be an integral feature of the Institution.
